Some of you fellow space cadets came by the journal to offer your various pieces on my little situation. I want to thank you for your positive words. It tells me I'm working in the right direction, for the most part. That's the best any of us can do, I suppose. Improving upon ones life while improving the quality of life for those around you. Hey, when I'm pouring soup for the drug addled and selling off my records to put clothes on 'em too...then I'll start patting myself on the back. Lately it seems like hatred is leaving my body. Do you people think it has something to do with age? My early twenties were spent on anger and hatred for the East Toledoans who surrounded me. I still feel a little aggravation at their various flaws as they are presented in my store. But the irritation doesn't follow me home like it used to. The way I feel about life is so different from the previous year. Everything is lonely, sad, wonderful, strange, and positive all at the same time. Maybe change and progress has its cost. Taking it out of neutral moves you forward but also puts wear on the tires.
I'm nervous about calm though. Is this a kind of breather before the real pain begins? Aw hell, I should just roll with it and enjoy the simple pleasures. Like chicken quesadilla pizza rolls. Or spell check for that matter. Diet Coke is a damn wonderful thing. I can drink Diet Coke all fucking day and it brings the same smile to my face. Fender Jazzmasters are like the harp of god. Bill Hicks Cds??? Forget about it. Crack on a disk. Nutrigrain bars filled with strawberry yogurt. Lots of healthy fun right there. Playing Derek Bailey & The Ruins for people who don't want to hear it. Like pork chops and applesauce, I tell you!
Mink Deville is fucking great and you all need to buy his music. "Mixed Up Shook Up Girl" is a classic tune. Download that shit, cause I just blew $18 on an overpriced import. Still very much worth it. Man, I can't wait to see Morrissey on October 17th. Good things. Good things.

noted. thank you!
I'll take Robutussin over real life anyday -- fun for the entire family . . .
dogz are pack animals, and they want to sleep in the fire circle with their pack members . . . so, there's no bonfire in the bed, but it works . . . long ago when dogz were domesticated it was because Cro-Mags found it more pleasant to be warm and protected than exposed to the elements and feeling lost without an edge . . .
I have a story about sleeping with coyotes out on the High Desert . . . in my next shout I'll lay that one down for you . . .
dogz & furniture . . . bitter apple, my man . . .
