I want to point out a few things to anyone who might be reading this:
George Bush has not won the 2004 U.S. Presidential Election. As of 1300 hours Eastern Standard time, John Kerry concedes the election to Bush, an election that has been consistently as close as elections get. The events of the past couple weeks have proven that the electoral system is as rife with corruption as it ever has been. Lost absentee ballots, illegal disenfranchisement, illegal voting--all of this shit proves to me (and any other progressive) that the actual result of this year's presidential election probably couldn't be decided for weeks, maybe months after today. Given time, of course.
The onus was and has always been on John Kerry to fight for the presidency, and only a fucking fool would take reports of election results at face value. Or a Democrat. The fact that he's conceding without investigating election results in every single state tells me that my vote for him was as wasted as I expected it to be.* I don't feel election results would stand up to an intelligent investigation, I don't feel the major news outlets gave us correct information, and, most of all, I don't think this was an election in which discretion was the better part of valor.
I suppose, in that way, John Kerry does represent the spirit of the majority of the country in his fear and refusal to fight for what he feels is right.
And, with that, I suppose we get what we deserve.
The concession speech is beginning.

I am also really, really fucking pissed that Kerry conceded. I am sick of the Democratic party conceding everything that matters to these warlords. Fuck.
