-Weekend Update w/ WelnTaod- "And now, as a public service to those of our viewers who have difficulty with their hearing, I will repeat the top story of the day, aided by the Headmaster of the New York School for the Hard of Hearing, Garrett Morris. Our top story tonight.."
"Our top story tonight..!"
"..Generallissimo Francisco Franco.."
"..Generallissimo Francisco Franco..!"
"..is still dead."
"..is still dead."
"Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow."
"Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow."
Due to bizarre fortune of work scheduling, I was able to catch the California Guitar Trio with ElmCityDrunk on Friday. Early Thursday morning I discovered that I had the evening off and of the band's performance within 15 minutes of each other. Probably my fifth time seeing them, the first with a backing band. As avant-garde rhythm sections goes, being stuck in a basement with Tony Levin & Pat Mastelotto was pure joy! If you've never heard of Levin, I guarantee you have heard him before!
I also attended Bent's performance at Humphrey's with ECD... A very welcomed change to driving a half-hour to the show. We both had at most a combined ten blocks to the venue...quite literally crawling distance. I ducked out somewhat early when the early start to drinking quickly caught up to me. Was able to converse with my better half prior to hitting the sack hard, today was a 14 hour day after all.
Goals for tomorrow will most likely be practicing, if at least a little, says the formerly eight-hour-a-day guitar practicer. I'll most likely have DarkRabbit over for dinner, the newly formed custom. I have to make plans with SmokingBuddha to do the same...perhaps tomorrow, as well..?
