Updating within the realm of good news! Guess what was returned to me after an unwelcomed absense... My iPod! I had checked on Best Buy's tech support page to see at what stage the repair was listed. I'd expected another week and a half of waiting, midway through a three week expected wait. Thankfully I was wrong! It turned out that it'd been shipped 2nd day air via UPS & was booked to be back in my graces yesterday. I spent most of last night reloading tunes back into to it as well as the demo version of Podtender. It is a bartending program that Allied had recommended in our site's iPod Group. It's a bit wieldly but can only be a good thing.
Today I had a quarterly job performance review and as always, it went well... Last time I'd sat down with this small collection of administrators they'd sung my praises and gave me a raise. This time I was anxious. In recent months I've spent more time covering other peoples' bases and managerially treading water in the absense of other higher-up's that paperwork shuffing fell behind. Turns out that my agency didn't see it that way at all... They saw the efforts I'd made in taking a number of shots for the team and in doing so, buffering the residents of my group home from the chaos of this fall. In short, autistic people w/ pervasive compulsions + trastic change = behaviorally bad news. Curly haired knights in shining armor able to draw together communal staff support in trying times = good.
Tomorrow starts a mini-spree of SGCT fun! Friday marks the reformation of HonkeyKong's and undoubtedly the drinking that goes along with it. Saturday will be spent sleeping in, recoving by some small measure, until everyone heads to the SGNY Open Call. Any chance to take drunken pics of anyone other SGCT's tired mugs can only be a good thing! With foresight, I made sure to take a vacation day on Sunday. If Wednesday's pasts have been inkling of a hangover, there's no doubt fistfulls of Advil will be called in to answer the head pounding call.
