Well, my eye-crossing hangover has faded away nicely... Friends, beware combinations of pseudo-strong sangria, lots of beer, copious amounts of little green trees and frightfully little water. ElmCityDrunk held an amazing Xmas party. I think the absense of the regular Wednesday night soiree caused everyone to come in full-force, dressed to the nine's and looking to wreck amusing havoc. I usually abhor the holidays, whether its Xmas or Arbor Day. It's only the rare occaisions where I'm able to choose who'd I'd actually be festive with do I have fun. I wish a couple of other people could've been there to share though, we've only but time.
I'm so disappointed I didn't make a point to steal back my camera at the end of the night in order to upload the pics. Returning the camera to ECD & GrumpyBear prior to their MA trip wouldn't have been a problem. Tonight would've perfect to rehydrate and make comments to posted pics. D'oh. Many thanks to ECD for the amazing time and I feel sorry that I didn't help clean a li'l bit before leaving. I can only imagine what the light of day can cast on the remnants of a blazing food fight. Yay pics!
So today served as random Xmas purchases day, in theory as least. Of what was purchased, only one thing is for someone other than myself. I picked up the extended edition of Return of the King. I'll be chowing down later watching the behind-the-scenes features, beaming and dancing in my seat. I also made a point to stop by my old workplace at the CT Post Mall. Anually today usually serves as the busiest shopping day of the year. I hadn't visited any of these people in some time so, a drive-by was overdue.
There's crazy amounts of new construction! They've gutted and levelled an abandoned anchor store to make way for a new Target or a Dick's sporting goods, I believe. There's ground broken for a new movie theater to replace the fossil that'd formerly sat poorly attended in the parking lot. Sadly, the old hallway for smoke brakes has been seared from the side of the complex. *sniffle* Whilst bullshitting, I bought the new book from The Onion. Headlines - "Girlfriend stops reading David Foster Wallace breakup letter at page 20" "Bush cites The Last Starfighter as inspiration for entering politics."
Tomorrow is the usual 12-13 hour day however, Monday may well have to be a trip to the Orange Showcase cinemas for House of Flying Daggers
