Uhhhh....food....coma...setting...in.... alienprincess and I just got back from a cook-out at my parents. Tons of food for just a slight handful of people, far fewer than I'd expected. With that much good grub staring at you, it approaches being a culinary double-dare. I made a variant of greek cucumber and onion salad...one with plum tomatoes and a cilantro-yogurt dressing. AP's mom and sister came out, which was remarkably cool. They regailed in telling childhood stories which have a bunch in common w/ LittleSister and myself.
When I originally shopped for the ingredients I'd need for the salad, I accidentally bought way too much. Luckily, they form the base of a type of salsa I like making. I reckon you kind readers will guess what I'll be talking about a couple of days for now. That and what a bitch it is to roast hot peppers the size of a swollen pea.
Plans for tomorrow consist of flitting about to different local libraries making returns, raiding CD collections, etc. I also plan on re-connecting my turntable to my computer via a level line-out from a stereo rack. There were a couple of remastered vinyl projects I'd completed prior to the Big Computer Crash of '04. I've also been too lazy (poor) to go buy CD copies of albums I still have on cassette. I may import and doctor a bunch of those for shits and giggles. I'll let you know what they were... 'Cause I'm sure you'll be waiting , right here, with baited breath until I tell you.
