Happy Poetry Day! I feel like less than my usual self for I haven't posted anything regularly for at least a month now. Damnit, that's going to change or at least, change slowly. I haven't done much writing of late so, most of what will continue to go up will be the comforting mix of my own and others' rocking materials.
Today is my third day off in a row! Work hasn't called pleading for me to pick up the hours I'd been forced into working while our house has in dire need of warm bodies. The cell phone has been idle except for welcoming calls from those I'd want to hear from. Tomorrow I go back to work around 11a and push papers, fill forms and write 3-4 reports. Friday my hectic pace picks up again but, this time it's my actual chosen schedule.
So Flux? I'm definitely going...probably for a couple of hours around 10 or 11p. The camera will be in full-effect taking pictures of those who haven't been snapped quite yet. If I were ambitious, I'd bring my new table-top tripod for expposure play. Perhaps next time.
A quick added note that I just discovered: The iTunes Music Store has all of the speeches from the Democratic National Convention available to download for free! I think you may need an regular account there but if you don't, this is a good reason to start one!
I Wish I Had Great Knowledge Or Great Art
I wish I had a pony or a trot
To read the obscure Latin of your heart,
Falsely I wish I were what I am not,
I would if but I could play any part
(After so many years to some to this!)-
And yet, I know, lost in this empty pass
The very shift and metamorphosis
Would merely bring me to the heart of loss.
For being what I am foists up the wish-
Once lifted from my beings element
Id gasped with bulging eyes like a hooked fish,
Dumbfounded by my gratified intent:
Behold how in this trope, drawn from the sea,
Two worlds are separated endlessly.

I'm also a little confused about you holidays: did you go abroad or not? when you say you 'would have' gone abroad, I presume that means you didn't?? So what happened?
And I understand about not finding the time to visit SG. It's becoming increasingly difficult for me now that I'm in Paris without (yet) internet access at home... However, I am enjoying the culture of internet cafs: I've so far only been to one in Britain and one in Paris, but they've both been really friendly... Kinda expensive though, in the long run...
