I'm never surprised at the variety of ways real life has the ability to suck you back into it.
The good news is I'm still alive though I haven't updated in what seems like weeks...more like 2-3 days. My relative busy-ness has leveled off over the past few days. Not as globally uncomfortable as it once was but at times, still as obnoxious. If at the very least, my administrators stop me at every chance to pat my back, shake my hand and remind me of the hellava job I'm doing. That's it, eat out of my palm... *manical laughter*
My dad went in for minor surgery yesterday... He slipped on ice this past winter & knocked his left arm out of his socket.
The injury was repaired but left him w/ some severe rotator cuff problems such as the inability to lift his arm higher than his waist. He's back home, resting up and looking forward to recovering quickly. This all has me thinking of my own 'trick arm'. Since a kid, the favorite of my very few super powers has been popping my left arm out of its socket. You can insert a finger into it and physically feel tendons stretching, the absence of bone pivoting.
I'm concerned that at his age this party trick may make life more difficult, if only for those who would be forced to listen to me complain.
Many thanks to the SGCT'ers who came out to Flux randomly! I'll be posting pictures inside the group or on my page within the next day or two. I'm trying to doctor using Photoshop Elements which is different than my experiences w/ GIMP or ACD See.
