So, I watched a movie that entered the world under my radar... Wim Wenders directed a film called "The Soul of a Man". It was part of Martin Scorsese's The Blues mini-series that aired on PBS some time ago. Let's just say, it was really good! It was the biographical look at Skip James, Blind Willie Johnson & J.B. Lenoir and their walking the line of tension between deeply religious lives and the profane identity of music they played. I bummed this from my library so, it seems as if I'm going to raiding the rest of this collection there.
Work was, otherwise... I'm considering turning my 14 hour day tomorrow into a 24. Songs of my job skills are sung in more than one group home my agency runs. I received the offer to work a few overnight shifts over the next week, the first being tomorrow night. So I'd work from 9a-9p at one house, cross a couple of towns and stay awake & read, watch movies and fart around until 9 then next morning when I'm relieved. I'm debating for the moment and I'll make a couple about it in the morning. An extra 14-36 hours of semi-cushy overtime could come in useful!
