A day in the life of my Monday... I got around to calling SBC about getting an official update on my service trandfer on DSL. *sigh* Over the next hour, I get a remarkable tale of intrigue, crossed channels, poor decisions and my new telephone number. It seems that the person whose number this was before me had AOL Broadband & this service was never disconnected properly. By my understanding, AOL still has rights to the "broadband information spectrum" that's carried over my phone line. So, when the transfer of service came across this everyone had a different idea of what the problem was & they involved taking more & more time. As it stands now, SBC realized that they fucked up and the new DSL arrival date is Feb 10th. *sigh, grumble & grr*
In the good news dept, I installed new blinds throughout our swank new pad. In taking down the tentative curtains & drapes we had going, everything has turned overwhelmingly white. No tapestries & tibetian flags & hand-dyed fabrics...just white blinds. Next project will be AlienPrincess making curtains & drapes, thankfully.
I also performed some inital assisting in getting together a resume for my friend, Amanda. She's giving herself a deadline on scoring a 'big girl' job now that she's had her BS for two years. I attempted to go to the library again to pick up some books w/ varied templates to tool around with but, forgot it was MLK day. Gives me plenty of time for tomorrow.

Thanks for the additional word on Jeff Buckley. Apparently I NEED to go music shopping. Teehee!
Much appreciation as well for the toe crossing. I have complete faith in the unseen forces. I have done what I can to prepare for this, and whatever way things resolve, I will be accepting. (We might just need more time to gather our resources, or we could be shopping for a house in earnest!) It's all good.
You wouldn't believe the excitement on the day that I realized that our front door was metal!!! Talk about the ultimate magnetic poetry canvas. I need to digitally preserve some of the poetic montages, which have been created by my sol man. He has quite the way with language.
The Hafiz was beautiful, beautifully light. All of my SG peeps continually amaze me, but you and Princess have a most special place in my mind and heart. Someday I will get around to writing you both testimonials. You get big word up from stari girls, yo! *followed by squishes most sincere*
PS~ On my ceiling is one amazing sunflower handmade dye, while the lion of zion struts proudly on the red, gold and green scene, and Nepalese prayer flags flutter around my alter space.
