Hola all... Brief update on a very rainy, windy Wedneday afternoon. I tromped down to Willoughby's for the usual large feature and brought along my faithful Gashlycrumb-sized golf umbrella...hate the sport, love the fact that their umbrellas take up an entire sidewalk.
Today also finds me continuing to work on a client support plan document from work... It was something originally assigned to my former superior to accomplish - his client, his Master's degree, his pay bracket, his responsibility. The realization that its immediate need arose prior to his resigning from his directorship (due to incompetency though, others would argue a tact far more political). So this 25-page monster washed up on my shore with less than a week to accomplish, from scratch.
Luckily, I'm lovable and my uber-superior swept in and offered her over-qualified assistance in the matter. We've conferenced, e-mailed, cut & pasted, scanned and have fleshed out most of what will be necessary to save my hospitalized client (and my ass, to boot).
In other news, my car is ass. A month or two ago, I pondered whether I should trade in my 210k Camry for a reasonably priced Civic or some such. In keeping with the promise that I intended to return to school, my reckoning was I'm not likely to afford do both so, Camry was kept. What that entails was commiting to the $1000 of repairs that were very necessary. Fast forward a month, hundreds of dollars and multiple car parts later, I found myself on I-91 South, hood open, steam geysering, passersbys calling for fire engines and me cursing that decision. Friday has me towing my put-put to the garage for a new thermostat and a reappraisal of what comes next. *grumble*
Last but not least, go drop by and give shouts to chiquitabonita! My kid sister turns fourteen for the fourteenth year in a row.
