*clears cobwebs and moths* No friends, no profound New Year's entries about turning it all around, finding sense in the nonsense and painting pretty pictures. Just an update, likely to be followed by another at some point, hopefully soon. I do feel remorseful in not dropping comments to those who I owe a number to so, expect a couple soon, my faithful four readers!
The holiday season has happily spead away and I really couldn't be more estatic about it! I really hate Xmas and everythings it's become in my world. I grew up poor and the holiday always represented an intense feeling of guilt and remorse for not being able reciprocate presents and any exchanges I was thrust into. Fast forwarding to this year and I was well-reminded that my money is probably better spent on car repair or at best, manufacturing a 20x sized batch of habanero hot choocolate and pass that around instead. The only bright spots were the SGCT Xmas bash (with attendance beating last year's) and General Tso's chicken from Blessing To Go on Christmas Day. Hmmf and humbug.
In happier news, my frantic pace at work has settled down to just sheer busyness... According to reliable red-headed sources, my supervisors have openly admitted to over-working me by some measure. I'm not particularly worried about burnout in my position or bitter about working more than those I find around me. I've been well-rewarded in genuine thanks and ackowledgement of a job very well-done. To me, that in itself is all I've ever asked for...being paid pretty well doesn't hurt my mood, either.
I'm also happy to report that guitar have found there way into my hands quite frequently recently. I had downloaded Michael Hedges' version of Bach's Prelude to Cello Suite I in G Major. Ever like the 12th time playing it in a row, I worked out most of the chord changes, arpeggios and the like and decided that it would serve well as an amazing reading exercise. Granted it's reading at like 1/4 speed but a warm sense of accomplishment has spread nonetheless.
Perhaps more tomorrow or when my lunch hour again permits... And now, to comment!

I'm so glad that you have been digging the new job gig. I need to get pro-active on the job search as well. This current temp assignment (now going on 6 months) is going to drive me mad, so I need an exit plan before someone gets hurt.
In other news:
Arachronism! Eeeeep!
New Juliana set! Eeep!
PS~ You still owe me a phone pic. Go take a picture of the lovely CthuluLu now!
