Alas, no haircut this week but, life marches on... Last week found me with the last of my training completed and I was left on my own to sink or swim, as the case my be. It seems that I'm gaining some traction, slowly but surely. My client load seems to enjoy my company and I haven't too many complaints about others I work with. I do have to check on what my schedule will be for Thanksgiving. It being the only holiday I genuinely enjoy, I'm interested to see if I have that evening off...my cool cousins are coming to town.
You ask, "The only holiday?" Yep, all others are bullocks. "Does that mean you don't like Halloween?" Yep, can't stand it thanks to 2 parts performance anxiety and 3 parts being excluded from reindeer games. It's been ruined much like frat boys w/ Cinco de Mayo. Happily, there's Game Night at CinderOla and Laerkai's. Donkey Konga will make it all better!
In happier local news, City-Wide Open Studios has been up and running and I'm looking forward to catching the last weekend! James had an exposition this last weekend that I feel like a chump for missing. This weekend however, Baby_Donut has her installation as well as my friend Cass from Lovecraft Tattoo. I'll have to buzz AmazonRed13, ElmCityDrunk and the rest of the townie contingent and get a roll-call.
And because I've been tagged...20 things you'd like to know about WelnTaod but are too afraid to ask:
1) I get homesick about places I have lived in 5+ years... It's more about the friends that I'm no longer in contact with than anything else.
2) I've recorded more than 5 albums worth of material in my past-life's recording career, used to practice 6+ hours a day and now pick up a guitar less than an hour a week.
3) According to the accounts of others, I've saved the lives of three people and none of them involved physical trauma. Emotional trauma yes, physical trauma no.
4) My favorite season is Fall and I'm in dire need of getting out and hiking!
5) I can't draw to save my life though, thanks to Pictionary and Cranium, my stick figures can hold their own.
6) I revel in office supplies and now having my own desk at work will prove to be dangerous!
7) All it seems I use my iPod for now is listening to podcasts. If it weren't for deliveries from ElmCityDrunk, I'd listen to little new music.
8) I think this website needs new emoticons. I don't know who uses
or 
but those were the first times in my 2+ years of being here. 
9) I'm no longer as flexible as I once was... This is less of a problem in the sack but a far greater loss in grossing people out.
10) My maintaining a journal of sorts here is something I'm genuinely proud of, especially for as long as I've kept it up.
11) The only foods I can't stand are turnips and beets. I'm game for all others.
12) I have no allergies except the shallowness of others. It makes me break out in kicking.
13) I've never been out of the country and I find it shameful!
14) I've brushed my teeth in the shower for more than fifteen years when I was introduced to the idea by a drummer named Skippy.
15) Others on the outside world read this journal (which is why I keep it public) and on a good day, they comment me through e-mail. Hey, Pal!
16) When forgetting the birthday of a friend or girlfriend, I ask to compare drivers licenses to peek at their b-day.
17) MySpace makes little sense to me. It seems to promote almost high-school popularity and that immediately makes me want to shivel and receed.
18) I hated high school with a blinding passion and ironically the fact that chiquitabonita had dropped out her last year made me (and others) want to punch her.
19) I wish I could have more friends over to my flat but conditions rarely allow that and I find it embarrassing.
20) WelnTaod is pronounced, "Well Endowed". I've seriously considered changing my user name a few times now but sadly, WelnTaod has a market share of recognizability in these parts, as small as it may be.
