Feeling a bit under the weather today... Cold like symptoms I suppose! To try to fight it off I jumped into a hot bath with some honey lemon tea and just soaked. It was incredible and very sweaty haha. I finished off by letting the water drain as I had a very cold shower. The contrast in temperature is an amazing experience as you feel your body temperature rapidly drop and you go from sweating to shivering in a matter of seconds. I don't know what I like most about that feeling of intense but tolerable heat, perhaps it is the sense of weakness and vulnerability that I get from it... When my heart is pounding, and I am breathing heavy and everything feels more difficult to do.
I sometimes like doing things that make me feel vulnerable. I find that it makes you feel very humble and alive, and in most cases brings you to a better realization of who you are. Obviously I'm not referring to a hot bath here, but more so challenges that you aren't sure that you can handle. Putting yourself in unfamiliar territory, whatever that be.
I'm trying to list off some places that I need to visit once I finish with school, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that I want to visit. I wonder if the reason I'm becoming so infatuated with traveling is because I haven't done much, or because I feel the need to grow into who I am. I don't know if anyone actually reads these blogs, but if you do and you have an interesting place that you know of/live in, let me know! I want to make this list.
So far I have:
Germany- Berlin
Ireland- Belfast
Egypt- Ideas?
Netherlands- Amsterdam
Brazil- Rio De Janeiro
Sweden- Ideas?
Sudan- No idea if this is possible with the issues they ae having, but I would like to spend some time helping here.
Australia- Ideas?
A pretty standard list, I know. And I hope that you all can help me find some more interesting locations
I'll leave you with some pictures of my day thus far:
Honey Lemon Tea:
Wrinkley hands:
My new robe!
Wishing you all the best!
