I think I'm just going out for the week this year. Initially we were planning on going out a week or two early, but when I started to research flights and stuff, it became apparent that that would be waaaay too expensive. We're flying into Reno, renting a car and buying our supplies and stuff there. Man, I reeeeeally need it this year. I didn't even realize how much I needed it last year. Flame Dance is an interactive flame effect display where people can interact with nine fireball/smoke ring cannons by dancing on two segmented dance areas. By simultaneously stepping on the same segment on both dance pads one of the cannons will fire.

This 2006 project follows on the heels of our highly successful Miniman Project of 2005. Mantis is worn by a single operator using motion transfer from the arms and legs to manipulate her in realistic, animated motions. The effect is most striking at night, with significant el-wire illumination.
