I did not know that Roger Ebert has a blog. Did you?
As an avid reader of Ebert's movie reviews, I usually can't get enough of his recent ones and find myself scouring his archives to see what he thought about flicks I haven't seen in years, reviews I was too young to read (or just missed) in their original printing. So, discovering today-- by click on a random link-- that he also has a blog is probably the highlight of my year. And it's only March.
I've only read a handful of his blog posts, so far (they're fantastically long and detailed), but I am nearly prepared to say he's the best blogger there is. At the very least in the realm of cinema. But, his blog ain't just about flicks. There's some good solid pondering and musings on quantum mechanics, evolution, philosophy, life and death, and who knows what else I've yet to unearth. Come to think of it, all of those topics are intricately tied together.
To summarize: If you like Ebert's reviews, you will love his blog.
