Ok, an update!
It's been pretty busy.
I had an awesome weekend last weekend. Katy and I drove out to Louisiana. The unit that I was in Iraq with had their annual ball celebrating the Birthday of the Marine Corps. It's a big deal in the Corps. It's our one party every year where we get together and have a good (psst! DRUNKEN!) time. I had to run the PFT (Physical Fitness Test consisting of situps, pullups, and a 3 mile run) early that Saturday morning ... which I did not enjoy, but I scored fairly well.
We also had a retirement ceremony for our head corpsman (doc) while we were in Iraq. an amazing guy. one of the best...even for a squid.
then Katy and I got all dressed up and headed out to the party.
It was a good time. Good food and good company and a lot of alcohol.
since then it's been the usual at work. I'm worrying about making rent next month, but I'll figure something out. I have plenty of viable internal organs.
tomorrow I fly up to West Virginia with Katy to meet her friends and maybe her family and just spend some time with her in HER place. I'm almost entirely looking forward to it...only thing is...it's supposed to be SNOWING (@*(&(*#(%*!_!@)(*)(#$)(
) when we get up there.
I know. I'm being silly. but I hate the cold and I have no idea how to deal with concentrated white bits of COLDNESS falling from the sky to kill me.
anyhow. we're gonna go and play in an old abandonded prison and search about for ghosts. and probably drink a lot of beer and/or wine.
it's gonna rock.
