Ick. My lovely "sojorn" to Niagara-On-The-Lake, turned into a 3-day sweat bath of parading, shining, polishing, marching, drilling, eating horrible food, and of course, reenacting. The 48th Fencibles sadly parished during the American attack on the beach, who rowed in from tall ships and lobbed artillery into our ranks. I myself died a horrible death, as I took a gun shot to the chest, and was later trampled by encroaching American forces.
A few short hours later, after a rather delicious meal of fried chicken, cabbage rolls and potatoes, the Americans stormed Fort George. The 48th's held fast valiantly with continuous musket volleys to the opposing side, the air was thick and rank with sulfur and smoke until we could barely see the enemy. Alas, the 48th, along with all the other regiments fighting by our side, were forced to retreat, and the Fort was soundly taken by those damn Americans. Yours truly, sadly, succumbed to another gun shot wound to the chest, and died.
The following afternoon, the Canadian Regiment took to the feilds outside Fort George, and stormed the Fort, curageously overcoming the Americans, who put up a weak resistance, and vacated the premis with their tails tucked between their legs. HA!
Alas, I sustained yet another gun shot wound, and did not live to see the victorious outome.
Pics to soon follow.

Wow, you die almost as much as me! (I, myself, commit suicide here at work every day promptly at 5 PM.) How are you holding up in the heat?
