I need to know something... I'm taking a general survey here, if anyone is bothering to read this anymore (considering I've been SO remiss in replying these past few weeks... I'm sorry. Thank you for being my friends at any rate).

I don't know if it's my frame of mind, or the emotional and psychological turmoil I've been going through, but I find myself randomly remembering things that I've said or done in my past... and feeling horribly embarassed about them. Things I haven't thought about in ages that are creeping up on me and making me cringe... and consequently making me feel really awful about myself... as if my entire life has been one big embarassment after another.

I'm generally an optimistic person, I'm pretty self-confident... so I suppose this has a lot to do with my recent insecurities.

But does anyone else ever go through this? Why does my brain insist on remembering things I prefer to forget? It's driving me crazy.

I would love to hear thoughts on this.
