The funny thing about my job is that it could fit into three or more categories. It's music, it's my life, it's school, and I get paid to do it (and man did I luck out).
After the events of last week, we were worried how the student body would react. I've got to say, they're either resilient or ignorant of the fact. In either case, I'm a bit jealous. I had some deep thoughts this weekend, especially when the final toll was counted, and pictures were put with the names. It was a bit of an earthquake mentally, to have to figure out alternate plans should the school go on lock-down.
In any case, the joy and carefree attitude of my classes today really kept me centered and focused on what was at hand, instead getting caught up in the gravity of outside world.
