whee. still cleaning. moving got bumped up a week which
blows. took a few boxes up to the place tonight. bro
came by + let me take his path finder to bring stuff up
tomorrow night, and gonna hang have a few adult beverages
while i clean, which is cool. can definately fit more in the
pathfinder than my saturn, i'm thinking. dug through
more boxes and cleared up more stuff, dug through one
box that produced an old video game i loved as a kid,
and my first camera i got when i was like 8. cleaned it
up a bit. won't be very useful past the memories, as it
takes 126 film... but still kinda cool to see it again! i've
even come across a few old photos out of it. was a
decent camera, just an old kodak instamatic, the last
one they made apparanly (x-15f for the cam geeks
who might be reading)... pretty fun.. tomorrow should
be just emails+calls + leaving early ish.

It's pretty cool how I met them. I was just messing around one night on Google. I kept googling for punk bands from the obscure countries. Searches for like "punk latvia" and "punk uzbekistan". I got quite a few hits from some amazingly obscure countries. I hit Ra Ko Ris when I googled "punk nepal". Whenever I found a band I would shoot them an email and Ra Ko Ris was one of the few that replied. We've been emailing back and forth for the past couple of years and they've sent me their releases everytime they put something out. The songs on the 7" are from the two releases; one a CDR and the other a cassette.
In return I sent them a massive amount of punk on CD. I have around 100 gigs of MP3s on my computer and I sent them about 25 CDs worth burned in raw MP3 format. If they were to take the MP3s and burn them to CD format it would take a little over 80 CDs to fit them all. They've been burning and distributing those CDs to punks all over Nepal, India, and Malaysia.
They've really wanted to get something released in the U.S. and I figured I could do it. I have the contacts to get it done right and I have the money to finance it so why not?
