First off, apologies.. this will make no sense. Between the sleep dep and booze consumption, I'm surely in no situation to be talking coherently.

I went to 2 shows this week, Static-X/OTEP and MyChemicalRomance/MUSE.

#1> Otep was decent, but the mix was blah.. would like to hear 'em recorded.

#2> Static-X continues to be fucking amazing live.

#3> Muse was interesting.. going to have to...

"You won't last that long, you might as well transform. You won't last. You won't last."

No photo for this one. Just a quote.

Things I've done:

1> Gotten Older.
2> Applied for a grant I'll never get. (Though if I do, 25 large for camera gear? Yeah, touch it.)
3> Gotten addicted to the Twilight Singers.
4> Stayed up far too late.

Today...

Hells yeah on the survivalism!

Dulli's new band! They sound pretty tight. I've always been fascinated with the front cover of the album Gentlemen. It's one of the most disturbing covers I've ever seen: two preadolescents on a bed, positioned as if they were having sex the previous night, and the boy is looking off to the side with this harrowing dead serious look on his face that you would expect to see on an adults face, as he contemplates the longevity of his relationship with the girl. Creepy and heartwrenching at the same time.

Life is pretty hectic. I'm working on getting out a chapbook of poetry and also a spoken word album of me reading said poems. I'm planning to launch a myspace account to promote both. I've been thrashing pretty hard to finish editing these poems. After lots of stressful editing, I've decided to whittle down the amount of poems to 15. I'm going to be the co-feature (co-headliner) at an open mic coming sometime in May. You might have missed my journal entry about it, so: everyone on my friends list gets a free copy of the book and the album when they come out. I'll announced when it's ready and ask for everyones mailing addy's.

I have further checked out the Twilight Singers and soon after I pay some bills, I will most likely be getting their whole damn discography. Good stuff. Thanks for the tip!

Are you serious? Does it work?

I am reminded of that Chevy Chase movie where the phone in his house in the boonies is a regular one, but the operator thinks it's a payphone.

Good luck with the cutie at the dentist's office!

Happy Holidays!

Pardon my unforivable ignorance, but what is Leslie?

On the other hand, hooray for getting it up and running, even if it's a bit at a time. When it's all done, I bet you could use that thing to do some kick ass Doors covers!

Edwards is having a CAO event this Fri. 30th. From 5-7. Not sure which line they'll be giving out. But, it does mean CAO specials.

CAO does make a fine cigar. I just got my package today. The Criolla is in my top three of their brands. I generally smoke their Brazil or Italian, cause they go really well with Xingu which is a dark beer.

But, I'm pretty much hooked on Casa Torano. Along with every one else I've had try them. Top of the line smoke and reasonable on the wallet too.

I haven't seen any updates for Edwards yet. And, I know the Macanundo bus is making it's rounds again. But, I think the closest one is in Lutz. There is however a CAO tasting at one of the Tabacco Depots in Tampa. Not sure which one. On April 11. And, the Partagas quality tour in Lakeland on the 12th.

One more that may be of interest to you. Copy and pasting it here. So, it looks like I'm into this whole typing thing. lol

I've heard of the Board room, but haven't ever made it over there. CAO was just here the week before last. Which was their only St. Pete stop. Brandon is one of those areas I know little about. And, even less now that it's grown to be more than a hick town.

Hit Edwards last Friday for Romeo y Julieta and the jackpot of all cigar deals. Torano two weeks ago, picked up buy one get one free boxes. So, my 300 ct humidor is getting tight. I may need to pick up one of those new coffee table humidors.
chipawah:
Yeah, I'm not too fond of lighter color woods. But, I am interested in seeing what their next pieces are going to be. And, I'm willing to bet, they'll have another coffee table in a darker finish.

Haha. Dude, my 24 hour comic is frighteningly bad, I don't know if I WANT you to have the URL. smile

If you go to my website (http://antiherocomics.com), click on "other projects" and scroll down to the bottom of the page. It should be there. Alas.

Btw, I dig the soda can photo. No reason why. It just looks nice hanging there. (Aren't I deep?)

Whee. So since friday 7am, I've had 3 hrs of sleep off and on. But it's for good reasons. Celebrating birthday, part two. Feel free to think up and insert reasons for the above statement. I won't admit.

On my birthday night out, my brother's fiance (who rocks) had a tiny little portable Kodak cam.. I played with it some and realized I needed to...
