Update, getting sick.
On a vague work tip, had our main vendor come in w/ one of their main geeks who had so much info it had my nipples hard. The guy kept saying "oh sorry I'm getting too in depth", and myself and the folks I invited in were like "nononono this shit rocks, pleased to be continuing!"... The info he provided was so indepth,someone from development come in to try to cry about his toes being stepped on, and I politically invited him and someone else to get the fuck out of the meeting.
Galacorina friday night, and ow my f'in head hurts. The two people I'd gone to see's stuff rocked. Saw some cool new stuff, some crappy new stuff.. and saw some people who'd been in before showing the exact same shots... which really bugged me. Seriously, saw a photog who had 5 shots up, 3 of which were in the Galacorina 2 yrs previous.. I didn't enter because I didn't have a bunch of new stuff, and didn't want to submit old stuff.. OLD STUFF THAT I HADN'T SHOWN YET!.... let alone old stuff that'd already been in the show. But whatever.
Saw the people I went to see (which was cool), saw some people I'd seen before, saw some annoying "artist personality" types that I dodged...
Took the crew that I'd brought, and some of my peeps who were showing, to Channel side.. and somehow drank until 2 am... didn't get home until about 3:30. ow.
So anyhow.. thanks to the 2 groups of folks I went to see specifically (one of which is on SG), thanks to the artists I don't know who genuinely wanted to do art and weren't pricks, and thanks to my friends who came out w/ me... it was a good (if not too long!) night... oh and thanks to the dude doing cover songs at the big-ass bennigans @ channelside.
