I was working as the cockroach wrangler on a shoot at Universal Studios. I had to pick up 5,000 cockroaches, drive them to set, and pick them up and COUNT them after the stunt to determine who won the stunt.

i guess the whole thing with freelance is that eventually the hunt for work just becomes a natural part of tyhe process rathet tahn this whole annoying extra step. i never liked it myself thus i never pursued an illustration career like i originally intended.

Don't ever try and figure them out. Ever. Enjoy the mystery and the magic of it all, and don't question their logic when they ignore our sorry asses. I've been told that the best way to attract one is to make like you couldn't care less. Strange as that sounds, I've found it to work. I'm going to have to try it again soon.
