Stopped in for a bit of dinner and a Dr.Pepperrrr... received a letter from my soon to be Marine daughter... she is excited about graduation in two weeks... we both will be in dress blues for her graduation...

Not being mechanically minded I tend to swoon with admiration over anyone who can put things back together so they still work....you notice i dont say take them apart, 'cos I can do that ok, but putting them back..a total mystery.
I've just re read that and it makes me seen like a total wuss, so I'd better clarify..I can make stuff, and build stuff, and do small repairs, but big rebuilding stuff....wow.

and here i am putting my hair up (pompadore 101)... two thumbs up for old skool style ....

You have a very interesting outlook on life. I find it funny that people complaining about the weather bothers you. The weather is what people usually talk about/complain about when they have nothing better to say.. I ignore ignorant comments.

Never played in a band. Tried to learn trumbone in 4th grade, quit after 2 months of failure. In 8th grade tried to follow the family tradition of learning the piano, and while I can still play the opening to "The Entertainer" (from the movie The Sting) I gave that up after a year... Bagpipes are cool when played by people serious about playing them, otherwise they are effin noisy POS. Kilts are sexy, especially on women. Some men don't look right in them, and I reserve to right not to comment further on that subject.

BTW - While I have and will continue to state that "I hate my life," I know that my life is better than many others. It's my moniker, my catch phrase. I do hate portions of my life, I'm sure everybody does hate some portion of their own lives to some extent. Since starting my journals, I've come to view the phrase as therapeutic.

Well, I always thought Memorial Day was the day we remembered those that (like you) fought and (not like you, thankfully) died protecting our freedoms, as well as remembering those others that came before us and are no longer here.

Actually, a shoot-out with Haitians sounds much more exciting to me... actually a shoot-out with anyone where I might actually survive disfigured rather than just dead sounds exciting. Hey thanks for the advice. I hope you are right. I don't know just hard. I mean losing Jen was hard enought, but at least she told me what happened. This other girl I don't know either she is crazy or I am blind because i cant think of a single thing I could have done to make her hate me the way she seems to now. Anyways thanks for reading/commenting. Always helps me to share and get people's opinions.

Does your daughter live with you? If she doesn't I say go for it! If she does I say go for it cautiously. I had one of the best relationships of my life with a guy who was 12 years older than me. It was amazing. We were compatible in so many ways. The way it ended is something to be considered. He totally didn't want to get married or even live together. That was a giant bummer for me and I decided to call it quits and move on. It was a good decision for me, but maybe not such a smooth move on his part. He still regrets not snapping me up when he had the chance. Oh well, live and learn. I like to do both things and you have to take some action to live and to learn!! Move forward, soldier!

I am really appreciative for all the comments here... I just want to add that since this is something that everyone seems to have something in common with... maybe I will let it ride a while longer to see whomever wants to add their thoughts... you cats and kittens are so awesome....
