So between working for bands on tour, promoting at venues, booking bands, and managing a record store I come across a lot of different music. I will put just about anything on my ipod, because I figure I have the space, and I might want to listen to it someday...
Well today is one of those days. I call them Unknown Days. I will only listen to bands on my ipod I haven't listened to yet, or I am unfamiliar with. It helps me broaden my tastes, and is usually like Christmas (I'll find a band I love, and its like getting a present!)
These are the bands/people I have discovered I really like today:
The Constantines (dirty bluesy garage band stuff)
Sondre Lerche (feel good, mellow, swingy)
Thunderbirds Are Now! (dancey pop rock, electronica)
Artic Monkeys (pop, synthy, dance)
Billy Talent (hardcore vocals, excellent range/style, catchy pop riffs)
more to come I'm sure...
Also, I am researching ideas for a new set theme... any ideas/suggestions/requests? I'm liking the idea of contrast (feminine in a macho setting, delicate in an edgy setting etc) or something to do with my work (office, record store, venue etc). I also really enjoy "period" pieces.. 50's rockabilly, roaring 20's etc. I dont know, maybe I have too many ideas! hahah

no two songs are the same and I guarantee that your ipod doesn't really have anything like it.

Nice to meet you.
