We had a good time last night at the @blackheartburlesque Show in Philadelphia. Biggest issue was the setup for the venue though. Underground Arts has a low stage... like waist high, therefore seating took up half the venue. On the edges of the seating area spaced at the four corners are like 3-4 foot wide circular columns. Feel like a huge portion of the viewing area was cut off on top of the fact that my wife isn’t the tallest. Previously when I saw them at the TLA with a higher stage and it was all open and standing room only. But still, we both really enjoyed the show.
Show started off with Jennings doing stand-up which was only okay. Sorry. I didn’t find as much funny as everyone else but there were someone good ones in there and she’s got a lot of potential. But that’s just my personal opinion and comedy is really in the eye of the beholder. But I’d gladly participate in the gentle gang bang I think she referred to it as. Haha.
@molliemars was the host for the evening and looked great.
I was super thrilled to see @cleodora perform. Women is a goddess. Plus she’s the only one I knew for sure was on the show so I had looked forward to it.
It’s crazy when you’re a fan of someone that without knowing they were performing, coming out with stormtrooper masks and thinking... is that @eirenne ? Yes, yes it was and that women’s smile and body is gorgeous.
My wife’s favorite last night was @clair and thought she was so pretty.
The whole show was fun and glad it was on a Saturday so we could both go. It was a little strange because the whole alternative thing is so far out of my wife’s scene that I think we were both awkward in how to deal. My making sure she was enjoying herself while her be afraid to be silly herself. Hopefully next year it’s on a weekend again. And she’s funny because she could believe with the locals dance off that a girl would completely show of her chest to the crowd... no electrical tape... like look around at the crowd, I’m sure she doesn’t care.
