Well this past week my wife went back to work, and you could definitely tell that things weren't as rainbows and puppy dogs as the previous two weeks. Forget which day, but as a family we went to the park mid week, mostly because I picked my son up and thought it was too nice to go home. Had the wife meet there and...

So during the week was a lot like the previous week trying to get out a bunch. Went to play a round of disc golf by myself on Wednesday and had the family tag along for an outdoor woods walk. Was a lot of fun and tired the half pint out a bit. Friday night I got done work early, went home, grabbed the family...

Since I'm lazy, or jut not as focused as I should be, I fall behind on my updates on SG, so here goes a long one.

Three weeks ago started my wife's two week Spring Break from work. She works at a school for special needs high schoolers, so she gets those perks of Spring Break. Turned out to be a really good...

So I've been planning on work this coming Friday for some time now. Well find out today that we won't be working the holiday. Boohoo me. Only getting paid holiday wage instead double time plus holiday.

So now I have a free day coming up where my wife is working and my son is already scheduled for the sitter. Great!!! Free day for...

First off, I do not intend to offend anyone, but it always sort of inherently happens. Mostly those that believe in the mystical man upstairs, because I don't. Let me repeat that, I don't believe in GOD, as a matter of fact, I choose not to believe in anything if the sort. Yes, I am an atheist.

Now, the biggest problem here is...

Sometimes people who believe in God treet other people in unappropriate way... In Russia we call it something like - Orthodoxy of a cerebrum...  I'm agnostic and I treat every religion with a respect, because for some people it's the only hope in life... but they shouldn't behave themselves as fanatics and force other peolple to religion

Too lazy to do my hair before work so I cracked out the bandana look

After working Saturday morning, had a busy Saturday. My wife's best friend had a birthday party at the bowling alley. My son had a blast pushing the ball down the ramp and hitting the pins.

Later in the night I went out to the Electric Factory in Philly to

I'm feeling very spoiled right now, thank you SG!!!!

I came across an issue today that left me with some confusion. My all but 14 year old niece through marriage is dealing with typical teenage feelings of inadequacy and I guess ultimately some bullying. She'd posted an Instagram picture about missing out on a crush you really like and hashtagged it as #ugly.

It kind of bugged me that she was feeling down...

They really are and it's unfortunate girls are especially bad; not like boys where they can duke it out and then be friends. Sound like you already know what's up. It's good she's got a sweet uncle to look out for her as well!

I think almost any girl can relate to this. I know I personally even to this day joke about my "ugly duckling phases" though I was pretty bad, just in terms of not caring for a while (would just throw my hair up in a ponytail and leave in the mornings) but even once I did start caring about how I carried myself the kids I grew up with still saw me as I was before, and teased me endlessly. I was picked on for having fake hair (which I didn't I actually just colored my hair crazy colors - not getting little clip in hair at Hot topic like they assumed) fake nails, called pretty much every name you can think of in terms of picking on a girl's weight. Girls are mean man, and I don't think there's one definite way to help or end it, I tried defending myself, verbally, and physically even, though obviously not recommended, eventually you either have enough and say screw those people, or you believe it.. I did both. I chose to be homeschooled freshman year of HS because I couldn't stand another 4 years with the same kids who'd be fucking with me for years. Best choice I ever made, getting away from the literal abuse that going to school put me through on a social level, was so helpful in starting to look at things from my own perspective, not having other people constantly pushing their views of yourself down your throat, because let's face it, kids are vulnerable or susceptible  even through their teens to believe, or go along with what other people tell them (most of the time) especially if you have enough people bashing the same thing into your head constantly. I know this may not help at all, but maybe understanding if you can even mentally "take her away" from that perspective maybe it'd be easier to change her perception of herself?
