So it's been forever since I did a SG homework (or since I wrote something on my page. I know, I'm bad. Sorraaay) so I decided to talk about my favorite game, or more specifically, videogame. Some of you are going to highly disapprove, and it's okay, I really dont mind. When I used to work at EBgames, the guys I worked with used to make fun of me all the time for loving this game so much so, here's a little hint...
Skyrim. Skyrim is the love of my life (sorry babe). Skyrim is the one I would bring to my parents on Thanksgiving and freaking marry and have kids with. I cannot tell you how many times I finished the game (yes, finished. For those of you who played it you know it's not easy to finish this game. Quests, side quests, ruins, caves and all.) Part of the reason why I wanted to talk about this game is precisely because I started playing it again.
The thing that I hate about games nowadays is you dont really get to play that long before you finish it. Yes, the graphics are getting better and better, but it takes more than that. You can easily finish a game within a few weeks, and I dont feel like I'm getting enough for the money I spent with new games. For 80$, I wanna be able to play a game that's immersive, has decent graphics and numerous, numerous quests. The first time I played Skyrim, it took me nearly a year to finish the whole damn thing. There is always one more quests, one more cave to explore, one more side quest, houses to build, dragons to kill, and I looove it.
Plus, I know graphics dont make a good game. But good quality image makes the game much more immersive dont you think? Pair that with an incredible, eerie soundtrack and you've got a winner.
I tried Dragon age as well, because I heard it was very similar, but never have I ever got the same experience I've had playing Skyrim. It just didn't work for me and that's a shame because I was expecting to love it, but nope.
What about you guys? What are your favorite videogames? Have you played Skyrim? Did you, or did you not like it, and why?
Much, much love <3
