Guess what I got to do today? First I drilled 67 5/8" holes 6" deep in 30 year old concrete. (If you didn't know, concrete gets harder as it gets older.) Then my boss came out to the job and said he wanted the holes drilled differently, and twice as many. So, then I drilled an additional 135 5/8" holes 6" deep in 30 year old concrete. Then guess what I got to do? Bend metal! Yep, I got to bend, with my bare hands, 67 pieces of rebar, after I cut all those 67 pieces down to 16". Now, if you have a rebar cutter and bender, this is very easy. We don't usually do this kind of work, so we didn't have a rebar cutter or bender. I had a 4" grinder with a diamond wheel and my bare hands. So, after drilling for 6 hours, cutting steel for 2 hours and then bending said steel for 2 hours, I'm kinda beat.
But it's all OK, because, Mary has a new set!!. I was just checking out her profile yesterday to see if she had been around, and was sad because she hadn't made an entry in a long time, then today BAM, there she is! Sweet!

Well, come on... your namesake is Bender Bending-Unit Rodriguez. I'd be very disappointed if you couldn't bend 67 pieces of metal.

It's great to see Bender bending.
