Wyspurr and I took the kids to Candler park today. We had a good time. We also found out from another parent at the part that Destiny's school, along with most the schools in Georgia, will be closed one Monday and Tuesday to conserve gas. We're not terribly effected by this since I'll still be home on weekdays to take care of Rachael and not having to get Destiny off to school just means I get to sleep in an extra hour or two. I still think it's pretty stupid, though. Whoever made the decision is either extremely short sighted about what the overall repercussions of shutting down school for two days with less than a week notice would be or they just didn't care because essentially it just throws the common man's lives into a tailspin to save the State some gas money. Making it so that thirty kids per bus will now have to take thirty cars, trucks, or SUVs to daycare isn't conserving gas.

Right now
Wyspurr and I are getting ready to head over to the Star Bar. I hope we have a good time. I'm in desperate need to blow off some steam.
