dudes.. i am on a roll. i did TWO drawings this weekend. and they aren't that bad after all.
i listened to TMBG's streaming radio all day. they have alot of songs, but it is on a loop, and you still hear the same songs after a while. "pony tail" is a great song. also, there is this one about picking oranges during the day, then doing graphic design at night. i live on an orange grove, and i draw (not really graphic design, but close enough).
speaking of oranges, my roomate and i got in a good game of Orange Toss-Off in today. I lost. To those who have never played it, I will explain the rules. First, you need a shit load of oranges that you don't want. then you need a little shed that you can't fit anything into (preferably made out of aluminum or some metal that will make a loud noise if, say, a peice of citrus were to strike it. then you need a shovel.
one person is to stand about the distance of a pitchers mond in baseball from the shed, and the other person will hold the shovel, and stand in front of the open door to the shed. then, the first person will commence chucking oranges toward the shed in an attempt to get a "Shed Goal".
the second person will, with the shovel, try to stop said oranges from getting into the shed. needless to say, this is a sticky sport full of citrus-y explosions (knows as "Squishies").
If you have a metal door that is not atatched to the shed, and a tree about six feet to the side and in front of the shed door opening, you can lean the door up against the tree, and create an angled surface to riccochet off of into the goal. I invented this manuever, called the "Reach Around."
my roomate (who owns the property, and is by default the commissioner) is the world champion of Orange Toss-Off. The NOTOL (National Orange Toss-Off League) consists of about 6 of us, believe it or not, and i am in second place, but I am the league leader in Reach Arounds.
We are considering starting another league for the off season: AOTOL (Arena Orange Toss-Off League), but we will need to construct a small dome in our yard....

When it comes to lyrics, the modest mouse is really hard to beat. Some people don't care for their eratic sound, but if you can relate to Isaac's world view they'll be a favorite...he's a master of expression.
