Happy holidays to everyone who wants them
The airport was not filled with "Christmas spirit" today, unless you count irritability and crap tipping to be prime examples. I am not looking forward to a ten a.m. to 10 p.m. shift tomorrow, but cash is more important than happiness while I have time between semesters
Coming home was wonderful. My wife came back from spending the day with her parents, and her, the dogs, and myself all opened our presents. I got more than what I wanted, including a new phone! with reception! I can now call people...from my house!...from my car!...from school! Amazing!

Some good things have happened this year, but it seems like there is less good this year and more bad than previous years.
Getting married to someone you love : good
Being married to someone you love who is depressed all the time and believes she will never be happy again: BAD
Serving in an airport before this year: lucrative
Serving in the airport this year: Laughable
Having so many friends close by: good
Having so many friends leave for other states: Bad
But what the hell, it's a new year -time for....actually, I don't believe flipping a calender to a different number makes anything better. What changes I can make I will try for, and until things get better I just have to remind myself that things could be worse - and will be unless I put more effort into being a happier, more fulfilled person.
