Soooo I'm looking for anyone who is more tech savvy than me...
My macbook pro (it's about a year old) has decided to shit out in every which way, not even hours after my tech smart male cohabitant left for a business trip.... Here's a run down of what happened... I'm using it doing my computer thing... when my battery is pretty much low... I waltz over to plug it in... do that and where it usually says the percentage that it's charged it says (not charging) this didn't concern me really because it's been doing that pretty much since I got it... Usually I just jiggle the chord a bit and that goes away and it charges right up. Today for the first time it didn't do that in fact the little light on the charger went off completely and my computer doesn't indicate that it is charging at all... So if i wiggle the chord around for a while it seems to take it and start charging... Which leads me to believe that the problem does not lie in the charger its self...
Alone that problem might not be too terribly frustrating, but it gets better I promise you. So I decided that maybe updating it would help in some way, don't as me why it's just what i decided. So I got to update it.... It's searching for updates and all of the sudden my laptop just turns its self off, before it even finds the updates... When i turned it back on everything is all messed up the time is off my wallpaper and what not are gone I've been booted off the wifi... So i tried four more times to update it and each time it gets about 75% done updating and then an error pops up saying it can't update... I know I have more than enough space on the machine for the update so it's beyond me why it wont work....
Any computer smarties out there? a little help??? I'll probably just go down the the apple store tomorrow but if someone could tell me whats up i might feel a little less stressed about it...
on a hilarious note as i furiously search sites like apple support for some kind of explanation... suicide girls seems to be the only site that it's deciding to trust... I can't look at apple's support solutions... but I can look at boobs...

Having no apple experience I got no clue if it's even possible to remove the battery.
Could be worth a try since it sounds like the same symptoms many of my users have.
But then again, if it used to work after wiggling the charger cable it sounds like a loose connection. Above solution have solved some of those issues where my first thought was loose connection tho.
