April 1st 2011 can go rot in a dirty storm drain.
Marley is in the animal hospital. I didn't say goodnight to him before I left, so I'm going to drive back there to see if I can say goodnight and give him a kiss.
*update*
I went back to the animal hospital and spent some time with him. It made me feel better because he was seeming like he was back to himself, although his balance was still off.
Here's the story:
So this morning I woke up to Marley shaking uncontrollably, I just simply thought he had to pee or poop really bad, so we ran out the door and outside, well when he hiked up his leg, he almost fell over and his legs were shaking as if they were going to give out, happened 3 other times, and also when he pooped he almost fell over again, because his legs were shaking so bad.
He started running around and sniffing and doing his crazy 100mph run through the green space so I didn't think anything of it anymore and when I asked him if he was hungry he started jumping like he normally does. Fed him and all that.
About an hour later I started noticing when he was jumping onto the couch he was practically falling the second he landed, like his legs couldn't support him, and then it was his legs were shaking just with him standing, sitting, laying. Well an hour after that, he was almost showing epileptic type symptoms where his ears were twitching uncontrollably, he could barely focus on me, his entire body was shaking, and his paws were clenching up as if he was gripping the blanket he was laying on.
Freak out begin. Started crying, called the animal hospital, told them what was going on, they said bring him in right away and they'd let the doctor know we were on the way.
So, after the doctor gave him a quick look, the tech informed me there was clearly something affecting his nervous system. The doctor soon came in and said the same thing, and that his eyes weren't responding to light like they should have and the shaking.
Marley had gotten into a garbage bag last night while I was out with a friend, so they're thinking it was something that he ate that was in there, but I didn't really know what was in there, because it was a bag I had been cleaning the apartment with, there were rags in there, a dirty shoe box, dog hair, feathers, cushion stuffing, etc. There's no telling wtf he ate.
So now he's staying the night at the hospital while they flush fluids through his system, give him some charcoal to try and get him to vomit, and do blood work.
And while I was there waiting, I got a phone call saying that my hair stylist and very very dear friend committed suicide.
WTF.
