Where have I been? I have been lost...My head has been in the clouds...I have been so busyI cant keep up. I have been busting my ass working two jobs, trying to remodel a house and trying to be the perfect mommy...

I have put my two weeks notice in at my jobs. I am looking forward to a free and easy summer of being...

welcome back. definitely sounds like things have gotten hectic this summer for you. 3 full time jobs basically (your 2 jobs and being a mother)? yikers!

I do hope things work out for the summer. definitely sounds like you have lots of stuff planned out! that's for sure!

in comparison, mine is "being a jelly fish, just floating around". and work.
steve626:
what makes me wonderful?
You are the one able to take your summer off. wink

Mind if I ask how the weight loss is going?

Another reason for me to not like men: They lose weight at a much faster rate than women. I have entered a dieting club at work...I dont have a lot of weight to lose...but I could drop a couple of lbs. My goal is 10. I have been on the exact same diet as everyone else and I have not lost a thing. Scott on...

Get your metabolism going. Eat breakfast and every few hours after that. Stay away from sugary stuff. Watch your fat intake. Eat lots of fiber. Exercise. Find a book from weight watchers and follow the points. You don't really have to join unless you lack discipline.
I lost a total of 60 pounds last year, found about 10 though. But I'm trying to get it back down for summer. So, maybe I'm an expert?
Oh, I also don't eat any mammals, eggs or milk. But lots of turkey, chicken, tuna and veggies. Some cheese too. Its part health, part social. I also have a combined cholesterol of 136 and BP of 110/70, I'll be 30 in a few months too.
Hope that helps.
What else is new?

Has anyone else had to do the MDA jail thing??? If so was it fun or a huge pain in the ass. $600 bucks is a lot of bail to make. Wish me luck...it happens in the morning.

I had a great weekend! I went out in Syracuse on Friday night with an old but great friend...and we had a Rocken time. Saturday, I hung...

Gun noises, fort building, root beer floats, pizza, constant play fighting and wrestling, thinking they are cool if they whisper boobs, shit and ass= Things 8 year old boys do on a Friday night.

Tonight my son is having a friend over and then have rented bad 80's Arnold Schwarzennegger movies. At first I thought I would get a lot of work done b/c I...

Demonstrations went very good. I've been busting my ass for them too. 90% of the things went off as planned, I had a BZ Oscillation reaction that gave me issues though.
How are things with you? Get your duplex finished yet?

steve626:
Thank you!

I'm just in a funk tonight, I'll get over it in a few ... or rather after a few.

Sweet Tea, delicate flowers, clean sheets, sleeping with my window open, people that answer the phone with excitement, watching my son play and talk to himself, drunk dialers (sometimes), jumping into cold water, the sun on my face, helping old ladies in stores, talking to old men in bars, having my feet rubbed, my wrist licked, rolling down hills, chewing on napkins after eating chocolate...

What a great day. I met all of my deadlines ealry and got to leave the wonderful world of advertising behind at a decent hour on a Thursday. I went to Lowes and purchsed new bricks to make a flower bed and lots of pretty flowers. I came home and went to work. I am all dirty now but my garden is looking so beautiful....

sounds like fun for you! I'm almost jealous, really. all the damn work I have for all my classes....want some?

I am glad to hear things are starting to wind down a little. having time to relax and do things around the house is always a good thing.

gardening, huh? did I ever mention that I've done some work landscaping? summer job. a friend of the family. most impressive site I worked on, the guy's landscaping was top 3 in Monroe County (commercial and private combined)....figured that his landscaping alone was at least $150,000..... eeek

keep up the work with the families....definitely know we in the Psych field can use all the help we can get!

My research grant is back in full swing. I am excited about my new program particapants and the next 8 weeks of fun. I have to make dinner for everyone the first night and I am a little nervous about that. My cooking expertise dialing a resturant and then putting it in a pretty dish and saying, "Look what I made". I wink when I...

Feeling good and full of energy or at least I am pretending. I have a super busy week at least 100 hours. Next week is looking smooth and easy, so hopefully I will get to rest and restore. I am thinking I am going to take my son to the finger lakes and stay in a cabin on a lake and do some fishing, eat...

I love the story about dad. makes me feel at home.
My father is very much the same.
That trip with your son sounds so amazing too; i'm sure the two of you will have a blast.
And for the record, kayaking kicks ass.
If you're realy into the idea of financial freedom though, I may have an option.
let me know.

I have been super busy..over worked and under payed. I have decided to close my house up and make it a duplex. I hope this is not a stupid move, but I dont need this big house anyway. I figured that way I can rent out half of it and it can pay my mortgage and when I move I can rent the other side...

It's better Hodgkins is one of the worste ways to go. The step mother of a friend of my brother died of it. I took classes from her husband. She just kind of got weaker and weaker. By the time she died she couldn't even talk. So non-hodgkins is way better. So at least there's that..

a beautiful weekend of doing absolutly nothing. I have not had one of those in a while. I watched three movies, played with son, read a book, ordered in, ate in bed, had lavish daydreams, had a lot of sex with myself, took a lot of bublbe bath, played with my dog, surfed the net....it was GRAND

No work, no stress....no mess....

I am cooking...

Congates on a wonderful week. I'm sure you'll find something/place to settle on by June. and remember it doesn't have to be forever the it can be the next step in a path. (Makes me worry less about the big decisions.

I graduated my first class of FAST graduates yesterday! I was so excited for them all. It was amazing for me to see how much progress these families had made in the past months. Family communication was stronger, abuse was down and self esteem was up. I couldnt believe that I even started to cry as I read affermations to each parent about how far...

I dug my kayak out at the first sign of nice weather. I know what you mean about the bike and blades. Hopefully that will come next! (It's a little too muddy here for them right now!)
So why OR?
Just curious...
I've always wanted to go to the west coast...especially Seattle.
