Wow! I can't believe how long it's been since I last logged onto SG.
I wish I had something interesting to say or some killer story to tell.
Unfortunately, that is not the case.
I miss my mania. Not only does it make life more exciting for me, but it also makes better reading material for you!

An old standby might help the situation...

My car is in the shop being fixed. It is costing me $1400.00 for a new catalytic converter ( DAMN Honda and their Low Emissions vehicles!) When all is said and done it will be around $2300.00 to get it fixed. I'm all moved into my house. It is slowly feeling like a home. My first mortgage payment is due. Hopefully I can keep a...

Deer-1, Gray-0

So...umm...yeah...I got broadsided by a deer the other day. The fucker ran right into my vehicle and wrecked the left rear quadrant ( blowing out a window, smashing my tail lights and the panel above my wheel well.) Apparently it was Junior Hunter Day and it was being chased. I feel bad for the buck ( but even worse about my car!) which...

Last weekend I was in NYC mainly for my sister's bridal shower ( This would be shower #2). I did manage to get in a little bit of shopping time. ( I bought 3 pair of shoes!) We ate at some fabulous restaurants ( I don't think...

i dont know how to knit hats or mittens yet. but i've got stacks of scarves that i'll never wear. all the yarn that i bought at wal-mart was caron (i think) soft baby yarn in different multi-colored skeins.

9/11 Remembered:
5 years ago today I was 9 months pregnant...just days away from giving birth to my 3rd child. I remember waking up and flipping on the TV to watch the news like I always did. I watched as AA Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the WTC. Horrified, I sat down on the floor in shock and continued to watch throughout...

I have to disagree with JackMinus. I do feel sad for those people. I also feel for the people that continue to be opressed by their governments or clarics. In any case I guess it is perhaps because he was 16 when these events happened and I was 29. My daughter was only four months old and I remember thinking that we have brought her into a whole new world. I lived most of my life during peace times and can only hope that those days will return before my kids get much older.
It is important that we remember those who were murdered, those that made the ultimate sacrifice helping and those that came to the rescue.
This is a great country of choice, popular law and freedom. Despite what some try to taint our military might no other country is more a superpower of humanity.
*gets of soap box*
Hope you have a great rest of your week.

No longer a part of me....

Monday night I got to work and had a gallbladder attack. puke So much for working! Instead I ended up in the Emergency Room drugged up on Demerol and Morphine. surreal Later that day (Tuesday) I ended up having surgery. blackeyed I'm home now...uncomfortable, bloated...and feeling very sore.

I just took a shower and didn't pass out so THAT'S a good sign!...

Blood, Sweat and Gasoline

This won't be a huge post. My hands are covered in popped blisters which were exposed to tar, concrete dust and gasoline. It hurts like a mother to be typing this right now! ( How the hell am I going to lift weights tomorrow at the gym?) I'm exhausted and sore all over! Don't worry...I have every right to complain! I...

I didn't want to bore you with pictures of holes and dirt, but I couldn't help myself. I am just so damn proud! I've created a special folder for all my house pictures. I'm taking more tomorrow. Might as well! I'll be there hauling rocks ( there are so many that were exposed during excavation that I'm building a rock wall!) and waterproofing the...

One post in the whole month of July? Eeeks! I can't have THAT happen!

Sorry I've been MIA.*snort* Like you all freakin' noticed! Some friends YOU all are! *humpf* Here I was, lost in the Sahara for NEARLY a month...sucking on prickly pears for water...and killing off circling vultures for meat! Nobody even bothered to call out a seach party! Good thing I had enough...

Probably nothing.
Probably.
Most likely.
Yeah.
Most likely nothing at all.
Probably better that way.

Yes, I am practically glowing. Things with Katie are actually moving really, really fast. I met her parents yesterday, which is fast, but not as serious as it sounds, since she just finished her grad degree and is currently living with her parents.
