This week I'm going to be dusting off my filmmaking chaps and riding boots to shoot my entry for this years Midnight Movie Making Madness contest. It'll be interesting to see what I come up with since I haven't shot anything of my own in three years, and with good reason. My strengths lie in my ability to put the adventures of the little fake people that live in my head on paper, not my ability to work well with others. That's probably why I've partnered up with someone more capable of keeping my wheelchair bound insanity away from the people that may help us while more or less getting my vision of terror and hilarity on film. I was lured out of my dank hole of anti-filmmaking by the contest's interesting premise: make a short film based on a randomly selected genre and subject in two weeks, then do the same for the finals within 24 hours. It's that kind of last minute ingenuity that I excel at, plus I'm cocky enough to think that I can rock far more than any of my competetors when it comes to creating something from scratch in less than 24 hours. Shit, I've been doing it all my life and it's gotten me more than my share of blue ribbons. I don't realy intend to win this thing, although that would be rad. I just want to make it to the finals and compete in the amphetamine laden madness. Check out my team profile (Unstoppable Danger from the Year 10,000) and my competition in Heat 8's section. If any of you want to be famous, whether it be through my star-studded cast or my star-studded sound department, I'd be more than happy to accept your help.
