I'm in a crisis of personality. I went out clubbing last night, and I was out till 7am. At first it was great, but the music they played was this rubbish dance stuff that was all the same, with the same beat. So I danced to this music for a few hours, then I got bored...
Now I'm not sure, but I think I find all clubbing boring. What am I going to do with myself? What do people do on Saturday nights? A friend of mine suggested watching The X Factor... Well everything's got to be worth a shot once, right?
Seriously though, I always used to love going out and stuff, and I always wanted to come to London cause it has all these clubs and stuff. What if I don't like clubbing anymore? It's like the fall of the Catholic church. I don't know what to believe in anymore!
I think maybe I should focus on Saturdays instead, for the moment. It would certainly make getting around easier cause the tubes would be running. I've decided I'm going to split my life into quaters, blocks of three months, and I'm going to try get a load of stuff done every quater. So Oct, Nov, Dec I'm going to try take up one new thing, like rock climbing or Tango.
I want to learn Tango cause Arnie knew it in True Lies and he looked v. sophisticated, and also when you go to weddings or something there's always one guy everyone hates who knows all these dances and stuff. And I figure, why not become that guy, cause then I can be suave myself. I mean, if you give the right people money, they'll teach you whatever you want to know. So to learn a new skill, you just need money, and time. And I have time. And I have money. Even on my salary, with house prices in England I won't be getting that mortgage anytime soon.
I got my certificate of incorporation today. I'm all set for my big pow wow with the bank manager on Tuesday. Hopefully I'll get the business bank account, and then it's just a stone's throw from there to riches. I've been working on some pretty big overhauls of the ultrastream site and it should be pretty slick when I relaunch it. I'm setting myself a modest target of getting to at least 20 customers on the streaming site. That'd be a minimum of 200 / month, which is spending money enough to easily pay all the server running costs, and put up some basic advertising campaigns for the flatmate site. If that gives me another say, 30 paying users, that's 650 / month which would pay for a new server every two months. When I launch the dating site, if I get another 30 paying customers on that, I'd have a total of 1,100 a month, which I'd quit work for. And to be honest, 30 paying customers is poor by far for a dating site. Dating sites are flogging love, which is a product that'll be in demand as long as there's more than one guy, and one girl. So even the worst site could pull in maybe 1,000 users of which maybe 50 would be paying users. And then you advertise, and triple that number of users.
So I'm setting myself the target to launch the flatmate site by Dec 31st this year, and retire from work by Dec 31st 2007.
Then I'm going to move to California, get myself a quiet mansion in a suburb, and also have a little place in Kensington, and fly between the two when I get bored
I love so much that I got into an industry dedicated to making money. I build whole systems that do nothing but generate money. So naturally I can generate myself huge piles of cash
