A long time ago, I came to this site full of optimism. There's so much plastic in life. So much artificial beauty. So much judging and so much sadness. Here was a group of alternate people who were not like that. Only, that whole attitude, the mutual fear of each other, as a society, the instinct to fear, to push people away, it's permeated everything....

You sound like my matching sock. So much that I feel like he could have wrote this.

I don't hate you and I don't think you're wrong, but I'm fighting this view every day. I don't know how to change your mind about it anymore than I know how to change his. But I go out and do what I can for the world in the only way I know how. I try to point out the circumstances under which people and society deserve a little admiration or applause. And I hope that one day this will be enough.

So Michael Jackson has died.

That guy was so far ahead of anyone else; understand me - ANYONE else in the music industry. He was a genius. Not only was his music on another level, his dance skill was off the chart, even groundbreaking - he literally invented the moonwalk, the lean and the robot.

I grew up to MJ. As a child, all the...

You know the song that Paul McCartney ruined; "The Girl is Mine." The part where he says, "But we both cannot have her, so it's one or the other - and one day you'll discover... "

Definitely one of his shining moments, though I think Off the Wall is the best album he did.

The title track sounds like one of Rod Temperton's other songs with Heatwave, though better with Jackson on it.

It's shaken me. I'm still shaken. When you hear his songs you know there'lll never be anyone else like him.

Well, you can tell the difference between a low quality venue and a high quality venue. At the Excel place (UB40) my right ear was suffering after the concert. After the O2 (Kylie) both ears were suffering equally. And this morning they're nearly better, so if you must hurt your ears, do it at the O2 :p

One thing that has become part of the...

You blog a lot man. Seriously.
unallocated:
Ha ha yeah I do... I reckon that's to do with any number of things, such as:

* My devotion to the SG community
* A response to the tons of fan mail I get every month (None so far, but it's only the 27th... )
* The realization that if I didn't keep you guys updated, you'd do something drastic, like start watching soap operas

But, hand on my heart, I'd go for any of the following smile

* I'm unemployed (Only till this Friday, I hope :p)
* I went to text a friend about how huge the O2 arena is last night (see (one of my) previous blog(s)), and I texted my mom. She was the closest thing to a best friend on my phone. Not good...

Still, as a comp. sci it's good to keep my touch typing skills up to scratch smile

Anyone know a good web designer? Like a really good one who does really well designed sites, not just a whole mess of tables done in MS Frontpage :p

I'm suddenly aware that as I work on the new site code, I'm going to need someone to design me a look and feel. I can design sites that look ok. They're clear, and easy to...

I think life is full of crossroads.

I'm behind on construction of the new site I'm working on, and I could easily not finish it and work in my job for the next 40 years, and then retire. Hell by the time you're 30, 35, you're thinking about starting a family and wanting a steady income and not chasing those dreams of when you were...

How exciting. I'm going to my parents' place today to collect my new company cheque book, my company debit cards and other company stuff. So it's official: my company has a bank account.

So my plan is to aggressively launch my new dating site by December this year. I probably won't have a free trial period cause let's face it; the second one lonely guy...

I lost my 25/month customer today.

That takes me from 75/month to 50/month. It's like the bit in Charlie and the Chocolate factory where Charlie's dad loses his job at the toothpaste factory.

I've responded by looking over the database schema I started for the dating site yesterday, and aggressively applying indexes to it. The failure of one business has made me so more determined...

On the subject of marriage.

So marriage, is that the time when you find eternal bliss and you are so happy, etc, etc, or is it when you stop looking for the one and decide to settle?

Think about the relationship you're in now. Imagine the fizz went. Imagine it stopped being so much fun. You could still stay together, if you worked every day...

Oh man, I like software but sometimes it makes my eyes bleed!

Finally got my stupid website all up and running on the per head streaming payment plan. Done the damn advert on Ebay. Now I want paying... 100 new members by Friday please, all 25/month accounts :p

The funniest thing happened at work today... Monday went by quickly. How neat is that.

Shoot, midnight....

It's funny, somehow I got to thinking about Gone with the wind, and I realised my company is like Terra in the movie. It made 16 last year (although it took 600 off the public) and this year I hope it'll make profits in the early thousands, thanks to some huge new product launches.

One thing's for sure though, it's in my life year after...
