well this weekend was a lesson well learned.
So, yesterday I spent most of the day bumming at home playing Fallout 3 (awesome game), until the night and I needed to get out of the apartment and do something. I head over to Borders to look at some books, and hopefully get something to replace the book I was reading. I picked up a vegetarian cookbook, and Dostoyevsky's "The House of the Dead", I've had a need to read Russian authors lately. On the way home, literally 3 min. away, a cop pulls me over and precised to tell me that my registration is well expired and my car is going to be towed . So after talking to my brother trying to get them to let him tow it, eventually having them give me a ride home, I was stuck at home with no car.
Now for today's fun, I need to drive to my mom's (about an hour and a half away) to pick up my other insurance card, drive to the police department to show them I have it ('cause my insurance card wanted to disappear too), then tomorrow morning go to the DMV get my reg., go to the police to have them release my car, get my car, and drive my brother's car back, or have him pick it up. I'm sure I'm going to be late for work tomorrow, so there goes all my over time i was working .
well this was an interesting weekend, and I learned a lesson that I wont soon forget. Only thing that came out of it good was I found out my friend was approve with me to move into a 2 br, which will make my rent cheaper.
UPDATE:
yea so I ran my ass off today to give the police my insurance card. hopefully that will kill one ticket...and I made dinner, Pasta with Chickpeas and a lot of parsley.
