So I've been in physical therapy for the past two weeks and it seems to hurt more now than when I did when I started. Call me crazy, but somehow that just doesn't seem right to me. Two weeks to go to camp and not much progress.
Things have me pretty scared right now.
Saturday takes me up to New York where I'll see the Tragically Hip in Rochester. That's preceded by lunch with the guy who's running the camp. Have to try not to limp in front of him.
Sunday it's off to Cooperstown for Hall of Fame Induction Day.
When did I turn into such a guy?
On another note, I wrote a story about a guy who died in a fire Thursday night. Didn't have any movement in his legs and limited motion in his arms. Just enough to raise the cigarette to his mouth and the lighter to follow it.
Smoke billowed from the room as his hospital bed with him and the mattress both burning. Some cops and a the first firefighters who got there put him out, still alive, but died a few hours later.
Talked to the fire marshall today who told me how it all went down and the gruesome details that I'll spare you few readers from. If it's haunting me now, I can only imagine what those guys are going through tonight.

Smoking was probably one of the few things that kept his spirits up - considering he had such limited mobility.
