Spiritual people versus the spirit within a person
I'm always a little nervous around people who call themselves 'spiritual'. I think being in touch with the spirit within you is an awesome thing but I really wonder if that is the reason that people call themselves 'spiritual'. I guess the difference is that when someone says they are spiritual its a bit like saying 'this is who I am'. But when you talk about a persons spirit you are really talking about observing that person....and the feeling that you get from them.
What does all this mean? I find more and more that I am attracted to the spirit within a person. I define it as that energy that they have that can reach out and interact with you. Sometimes it is through words...or expressions...or interactions. This attraction is really independent of age, sex, gender, race, religion, etc etc.
A friend used to talk about positive energy from people versus negative energy and now I know exactly what she means and I tie it to a persons spirit. There are some people you just want to avoid because they can suck the energy right out of you and leave you drained. Whereas with others, they always give you this warm glow when you interact with them.
Maybe that is the true definition of spiritual.
