Busy busy bee this week! My chef went to Jamaica on holiday, and the other sous chef got his ass canned. So little ole me ran the restaurant solo for a whole 8 days! Open to close like a champ. I dunno if I've ever been that stressed but it all worked out in the end and I got lots of nice compliments on my work :)
The best way to de-stress after that week was going to a local metal show. Two of my favorite bands, Insurrection (Death Metal from Gatineau) and Cryptopsy (Technical Death Metal from Montreal), played in a small venue in Ottawa (the same that the SG Blackheart Burlesque performed at last year!) and it was BRUTAL AS FUCK.
(The backpack kid is my little brother. He was in town, being adorable and gay as balls, the usual.)
I've never headbanged that hard, that long, EVER. The best part is it's about the tenth time I see Insurrection and the local metal scene is pretty tight, so I've made friends with the guys. I got to chat with them and have some beers after the show. I also bought some Insurrection merch panties so expect pics of that when I get a chance! Here's some links to songs, if you're interested.
