1) I've always tried to be a "good girl" and I find that as I get older, screw that. I'm not out to win the prize in that category.
2) I want people to be happy and I try to do anything in my power to help them be so even to the detriment of myself. Gosh darn this altruistic nature!
3) I've gotten better about being good to myself. And every day and in every way....
4) I talk to myself as I walk places. Sometimes it's arguments, other times it's encouragement but mainly it's observations that I would make to other people.
5) I hate sewing machines and they hate me.
6) My room is the messiest in the house because it's the only room that I refuse to clean that often.
7) I'm really lucky to have joined this site and met all these wonderful people. It's definitely a joy to be myself both online and offline in the company of people who will accept me as who I am.
8) I was given the option of getting my ears pierced at 14 and decided not to. My sis and my mom got them pierced instead. I cried when I saw my mom with pierced ears - bad day and a new change. Boo.
9) I really really want to live in Asia and specifically Hong Kong (even though I've never been there and don't speak the language too well).
10) I used to be really good at spelling and now I don't care all that much.
11) I call a lot of people and things "boo" - it's a term of affection (as is "dork").
12) I have issues with the titles "girlfriend" and "boyfriend" - something about them just drops unnecessary obligations and irrational expectations into my head.
13) I like effeminate men and decently butch women.. Mmmmmm....
14) I used to think that my life would be like my parents' lives (mainly my mom's). Seeing as how I'm not married, haven't changed my dietary habits drastic, and don't live on the east coast, I've come to the conclusion that that just WON'T happen. Good.
15) My favorite music dude is Jacky Cheung from Hong Kong (that or Weezer). When music sends shivers down my back, I know that it really powerful and I love it.
16) I darn my socks on the toes but throw them out when they get holes on the ankles.
17) I love growing plants but I managed to kill my new bonsai.
18) I don't know what I'm going to do with the rest of my life and have always thought, well, what will I do after 30?
19) I like tiny, shiny, sparkley, pretty things. (Gah I'm a girl!)
20) I used to have a fear about staying up late - that I had to get to sleep otherwise I wouldn't be able to function the next morning. Sometimes that fear still gets me when I'm in an unfamiliar place to sleep. Most of the time not though.
Right that was a long list. Next time I'll talk about the Weezer & Foo Fighters concert that happened on Friday.
