Yesterday I finished reading My Papa.
Well to be more specific I finished reading the final volume of Proust's In Search of Lost Time, a 5000 page odyssey which surlyclown called My Papa because he said it was full of Proust, lying ailing on a divan effete, waffling on about his papa. He was teasing me about the Proust scholar in Little Miss Sunshine as well.
Silly surlyclown.
While I admit I did slog through some pages, the process of reading all of the volumes felt like living a life. Proust connected with me and made time disappear. I realized (again) that I was not alone.
