There's a collectable poster in the paper today of David Beckham sleeping , the
stupidity of this country never ceases to amaze me . *shakes his head in
disbelief* . This reminds me why I gave up buying papers , I think I should even
give up looking at the things now . I think im happier not knowing , but can
someone please kindly let me know if nuclear war breaks out or something .

Anyway , its been a funny sort of day so far , I started the day being woken at
a stupidly early time by a massive crack of thunder . Didn't really bother me as
it made a change from my usual shrill shrieking alarm , I really love thunder
and lightning .. the sheer grandiose theatrical ness of it . Its very impressive
, makes me think the man upstairs is pissed about something . So yeah I watched that and the rain beating down on my window , its a very relaxing way to start your day.

I get in here and there's just lots of tension in the air , this usually
wonderfully calm group of people were all bitching and arguing at each other .
Nothing major , just the usual 'he said this , he isn't doing this' crap .
Office politics , I try to keep out of it and just do my own thing ..but I got
drawn into it and ended up telling someone off for gossiping and not just coming out and saying something to someone's face . Im of the opinion that most of the worlds problems could be solved with simple direct honesty and not all this conspiratorial whispering.

But enough of that , who gives a monkeys really? . It seems to have calmed down now anyway , the boss is off for the next week so things should be relatively easy . Im slow enough but I think i'll take things down a notch.

Ah yes while I remember you should all go out and get 'Hey , Nostradamus' by
Douglas Coupland . Did I say this already ? ..I don't remember ..nevermind it
won't hurt to say it twice . Its a fantastic book , very moving and raises allot
of issues about morality , God and why bad things happen to good people . It
tells the story of a Columbine style shooting from 4 different peoples
perspectives .. and yeah it gets my sea lion of approval. I've been reading up
about allot of his other books as well , allot of them sound worth investigating.

So what do we have that's newsworthy today ? . I have a busy few days coming up now , I got talked into seeing 'the barenaked ladies' tomorrow night . There not one of my favourite bands but there to Claire what The Cure is to me , so I couldn't have her going on her own . It should be enjoyably bouncy if nothing else.

Oh and talking of The Cure (as I quite often do) , there going to be on 'The
Tonight Show With Jay Leno' on Friday - US , Saturday - UK .. performing there
new single 'The End Of The World' . . Can't bloody wait and June 21st is the day we get the new album . *huzzah*

Anyway what was I on about ? ..ah yeah , what im going to be up to . Friday im off to see Duran Duran , something that will probably bring me much ridicule and scorn .. but hey I don't care . Then all being well I should be meeting Dave and Danny for birthday shenanigans afterwards . Should be seeing them for much of the weekend as well at various times . Bank holiday Monday ..who knows ? ..maybe i'll spend the day in the cinema.

I think that'll do for my ramblings as its probably lunch time . Thats all folks.
