*Do you ever get the feeling your getting old before your time? Im only 25 , shouldn't I be wanting to go out rocking and rolling and boozing every night still ? . I seem to be very homey these days , certainly more so since I got my own place , I think the responsibility has forced me to grow up a bit ..maybe too much? . Im not quite ready for pipe and slippers Old Man Newman malarkey yet , I usually always end up having a good time when I do actually go out so maybe I should make the effort more often before my friends start forgetting who I am . Im realising my 20's are precious and there'll be plenty of time for sitting around watching old movies when im doddery and grey.
*That's the World Cup over and done with then , must say it was great , same old story with England though .. penalties ..quarter finals blah blah blah ..I wasted 20 in the bookies on them . Its sad to say but they really are going to have start playing dirty if they want to get anywhere .. a la the Italian's and Portuguese ..the honest Joe approach just doesn't seem to work for them , they need to just really fight . There's too much money involved in England's game as well , there all pampered millionaires who are all more concerned with there latest million pound sponsorship deal with Gillette then winning something for there country ..and the managers sheer ineptitude doesn't really help either. It summed it up when they said the Swedish coach earns in a year what Sven got in a week. Got that off my chest ..roll on Euro 2008..at least Brazil aren't in that.
*Went to see 'The Who' the other day who were excellent and rocked considerably harder than the pretty dull 'Razorlight' who supported them. I missed most of the rest of the line-up though as it was far too hot to come out from under my tree . I don't seem to cope too well with excessive heat , I woke up with a nose bleed the other night ..that doesn't usually happen.
*Seeing the Chilli Peppers on Monday who I hope are a bit more impressive than the last time I saw them. Waiting for Muse to announce some dates too!!
*There was a bit of an incident the other day me and Dave were trying to put the other half's new wardrobe together and we had a spot of bovver putting the roof on and Dave put all his weight on one of the shelves to try and push the roof down and fell through it , slicing his shoulder open and cracking his jaw . We broke 3 of the pieces of wood , and had to reorder them ..so she has to wait 4 weeks for delivery before she can get her clothes off the floor..shes not happy. Was a good excuse for missing his works training day in Belvedere though.
*My house is looking lovely now , nice new (expensive) carpet in the hall and lounge , allot of the crap cleared out of the front room , we rearranged the layout and put Dave's TV and surround sound speakers in the front room , so its great watching a film.
*Saw Pirates 2 at the weekend , most enjoyable if not quite so much as the first one . Johnny Depp makes it worthwhile again. This weekend its Superman..looking forward to that one.
*I joined one of those online DVD rental services , as many DVD's as you can watch for 12 a time ..beats 4 a time at Blockbuster . I have an offer for a free month so im catching up on some stuff I wanted to see but not enough to shell out for . I really recommend 'Finding Neverland' and 'The Hills Have Eyes' though...both very enjoyable in entirely different ways.
*I really want one of those Blu-Ray players when they come out , they look gorgeous.
*Almost a year after I did my little sis is moving out of the Newman family house into a place in the country with her boyfriend , so it will be just my folks pottering about in there on there own . Quite sad really , but nothing lasts forever does it .
*Oh and shock horror Pauline has left Eastenders.
Anyway that's about all I have to report. Over and out.
