So how was everyones easter ? .. mine was pretty dull really . Im not feeling too well at the moment so I didn't really feel like doing much . Ever since I woke up saturday morning i've been hacking and sneezing all over the place , I have a sandpaper throat thing going on as well
So I spent the day eating chocolate and chinese food and drinking red wine and watching movies and Family Guy inbetween various trips to this site .
I watched 'dark blue' , which was kind of like a poor mans 'training day' , I fell asleep for about half an hour in the middle but what I saw was ok . I watched 'bruce almighty' as well which was crap but entertaining enough crap.
Pretty nondescript sort of day really
Anyway I had my trip to the pikey pub on saturday night for a friends birthday , I got plunged into a nightmare world where the women are orange and the men are braindead burberry drenched fuckwits . I had my good friends Claire and Sarah Jane there to keep me company , who were as disturbed as me (but probably slightly more tolerant) . But Gary the guy whose birthday it was , I have totally drifted from since we left college .. alarm bells went off when I saw him for the first time in ages and thought .."oh my god he's one of them". But all he seemed to have to talk to me about was ..."so hows work?" .
It really makes me sad when someone you really liked , with a bit of personality and individuality seems content to throw all that away to join the masses in pursuit of popularity. . I might have to launch a rescue mission to get my friend back from the evil clutches of the zombie chav/ townie army before they brainwash him completly. *sigh*
But anyway before I met them I went to the cinema , I was looking for a nice undemanding film to while away a few hours with , so I saw 'the girl next door' . Wasn't amazing but it was quite amusing and it had Elisha Cuthbert looking hot to gaze at for a while..can't complain.
Meanwhile back at the ranch , me and my sister are going to take the old man to see Bob Dylan on fathers day , seems like a pretty good idea for a gift and i'd quite like to see him myself . So I must remember to book tickets for that.
And now we come to the last day of the easter break , the last day before I have to go back to that place *shudder* . Its a sunny looking day so im going to put some music on and wander about and see where I end up.
But for now im off. ta ta

If you like Bob Dylan, have a look at Phil Ochs, a little gritteier, less tactful about his targets and died by his own hand, believing himself a failure, all the best signs of genius.
Take care, hope you feel better soon.
