I've been in the road trip mood recently, I think it's because of all the long distance driving I've been doing recently.
I have concocted a grandiose scheme to tour the entire west coast by way of US Highway 101. It appears that the actual highway 101 stops in LA, but there are remnants of it going on down to the border, I dunno if I'll follow I-5 all the way down or try and stick to the old 101 that doesn't really exist any more but I'm sure as hell not stopping a tour of the west coast in Los Angeles. I'm also not sure when I'll have the time and resources to do this, but it seems like a pretty cool idea.
A more short term and local travel plan is to go drive around the Olympic Peninsula. For some reason I think it would be cool to go to the most northwestern tip of the continental U.S. I'd also like to go to the Olympic Game Farm out there, which is a privately owned wildlife reserve started by the guy that filmed all those Disney wildlife movies back in the 60s. They have zebras and rhinoceri! The parks would be cool too. I'm not much for actual hiking and camping, but I like to visi parks. There's some other cool stuff out there too, and I bet I could do that all in a day. I wonder if I should wait until it gets warmer?
I hit my head really hard on the inside of a huge switchboard today, I have a big knot on my forehead now.
Somehow one of the pockets on my peacoat ripped open, so I have a couple dollars in change and a really nice ink pen floating around inside it now.
What are you guys doing for Christmas? I have no plans at all as of yet.
